Your First Run – Make a Soundtrack

Prepare a good soundtrack. We’re running alone and so it’s a nice opportunity to get lost in your music 🎧

You can’t go to a party right now but you can have your party on your run. With the endorphins releasing and the fresh air around you you’ll be feeling really alive and pumped in no time.

If it’s your very first run or your first in a while, take it easy and enjoy it. Don’t put any pressure on yourself just step out take a breath and go. You’ll be surprised to find how cleansing it is for your mental and physical health.

Whether you walk or jog or run. Just go.

I love Spotify. It knows me. If you use a streaming app like this you know what I mean. My favourite tracks that I find relevant right now are:

1. How to Save a Life – The Fray

2. Wave – Meghan Trainor, Mike Sabath

3. Good to be Alive – Meghan Trainor

4. No Time to Die – Billie Eilish

I find an up beat soundtrack that has positive, inspiring music puts me in a good mood which is good for me and my family. It’s really important especially now that we are spending more time together than normal.

Remember to do some stretches before and after and, of course, WASH YOUR HANDS before and after.

I find first thing in the morning the best time to run because it’s before my baby needs me (most of the time) and it’s a good start to the day. Once my workout is done and I have had a bit of me time I’m ready to take on the day.

Good luck!!!
