Co-Runa Mama ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
With the new rules introduced by the Government last night 23 March, all we have to keep active are home workouts and one outdoor workout a day. Thatโs a walk or a run ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Running is my passion and I thought I could share some inspiration. Iโve run 3 marathons (my most recent I ran with my husband, Ben) ๐ฅ my personal best was a time of 3h42m, Iโve also run numerous half marathons.
In September 2019, I had my first baby, Sofia ๐ถ๐ป My physical recovery after birth has been slow and steady. Iโve used online videos designed for post partum women to do home workouts and I use Kayla Itsinesโ SWEAT app for HIT style workouts for strength and toning ๐ช๐ฝ I have sought advice from a physio to ensure that my body is strong enough to return to running and followed her instructions to do some specific exercises to restore my muscles after birth to prepare me to run again.
I am a health conscious, active new mum (currently on maternity leave) and I hope that without a gym, a class or workout buddies that you will take to the outdoors โ๏ธ Especially in the current spring sunshine (long may it continue). For now running should be done alone unless you can get out with someone else from your household which might be hard if you have a young baby like me.
I will be sharing whatโs on my playlist and hope you get something from what Iโm sharing ๐ง
Please be mindful, careful and keep a distance from other people. Letโs workout alone together and remember to thoroughly wash your hands when you get home.
